Make a pre-BND statement on Halloween!

(By Gideon Kennedy)
Halloween (next Tuesday October 31) can be the moment to make a nice pre-BND statement about the earlier and earlier start of the Christmas consumption.

Do you celebrate Halloween? I realize that many of you are in countries that don't, but if so, and you need a last minute costume idea, here's one.

Some friends of mine are dressing up as Christmas carolers and are going door-to-door singing Christmas carols while little kids are out trick-or-treating. I found this hilarious and I think it makes a nice pre-BND statement about the earlier and earlier start of the Christmas consumption.

The costume should be fairly simple: christmas colored/decorated winter clothing (you could go all out and wear matching choir outfits), candles, small sheets of BND carols, and maybe some pamphelets to pass out to residents instead of taking their candy. Maybe give them candy canes with small BND labels attached while they are trying to give you candy corn.

I think it would be really funny if you had one of those note finder, kazoo type things to start off your caroling just after you press the doorbell and they open the door.
Trick or Treat!
